If you are opening your system for the first time this spring and two or more zones are running at the same time, this information may help you. Your solenoid valves can be operated two ways.
1) Electronically by the controller
2) Manually at the valve location by means of opening the bleeder.
In most cases when your system is winterized, we will open the valves by means of the manual bleeder. If two or more zones are running, it may be because of this. Please be aware that this is one possible cause for this situation.
1) The manual bleeder may have been accidentally left on during winterization.
2) The manual bleeder may need to be cycled open and closed.
Your valves are located in green boxes somewhere in your yard. Use the chart below to identify the type of valve that you have and the location of the manual bleeder.
